Data
Collection Methods
Focus Group Discussion
The
Management Centre conducts the focus group discussions,
which has become a part of the market researches, as well as
the socio-metrical measurements, through digital voice
recording and also close-circuit video broadcasting
infrastructure, if requested. Focus Group Discussions are
conducted under the supervision of experts and as in the
case with all other data collection methods, the information
gathered by the utilization of this method is only shared
between the relevant staff of the Management Centre and the
customer.
Face
to Face Survey
Part-time pollsters conduct the face-to-face Surveys that
are implemented across the North Cyprus; and the pollsters
are supervised by the filed controllers. Moreover; the
Management Center conducts a second control by making phone
calls to the persons with whom the pollsters conducted the
survey. All pollsters and supervisors are trained
accordingly, prior to the field work.
The
data, which are transferred to the computers, are analyzed
with the utilization of SPSS software.
Telephone Surveys
Computer-aided telephone survey system is a system which
integrates the research experience with technology. The
Management Centre provides a Fast, reliable and low-cost
research opportunity through the computer-aided telephone
connection.
With
the utilization of Q-art software, which enables the
telephone surveys to be conducted through telephone, it is
now possible to get accurate and early results. Thanks to
the voice recording feature of the Q-art software, the
controls are made accurately and fully during the survey
field work. Q-art software enables the telephone surveys to
be conducted through computers.
The
software consists of sample and question modules, and it
enables the registries in the telephone directory to be used
in field studies by grouping the registries according to the
streets.
Due to
its feature that enables all data to be transferred in MS
Word, Excel and SPSS format; data analysis are conducted in
a more practical, accurate and faster way.
The
software, which automatically records the voices of each
interview in computer environment, also enables the records
to be listened again by recording them on CDs for the
purpose of controlling.
In-depth Interview
In this
method, which is conducted by the experts on a face-to-face,
one-to-one interview format, the interviews are recorded in
digital environment, by adhering to the confidentiality
principles, and subsequently these interviews are resolved
and analyzed.
